Putin says expects more than 3% GDP growth in 2023
ST. PETERSBURG, Nov 17 (PRIME) -- Russian President Vladimir Putin has received a report from Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin saying that the economic growth was expected at more than 3% in 2023, he said at a forum on Friday.
"Chairman of the government proudly said yesterday that our economy grew by 5.5% last month, the increase will amount to more than 3% in 2023 overall," Putin said.
He said that the earlier GDP forecasts were more modest with a 2.5–2.8% rise.
"Now we can say with confidence that it will be more than 3(%)," Putin said.
The president also said that work on the budget had entered the final stage.
